CARDIO / EXERCISE

GENERAL INFORMATION
 
The Dance Club offers fitness-oriented exercise dance classes on Thursdays at Noon in B76-235.  All classes are free and open to the entire Lab community.  Classes typically are group style classes similar to those offered in large private membership gyms and fitness centers. 
 
These cardio-dance classes tend to cater to people of all fitness levels, but participants who have not been physically active are encouraged to consult with their physicians prior to engaging in rigorous exercise.  Participants are encouraged to wear work-out clothing and shoes and to bring a towel and water bottle.
 
Classes tend to begin with a warm-up and end with a cool-down and stretch.  Classes may also begin a bit after 12:00 and end a bit before 1:00 to accommodate participants' travel schedules, and of course, participants are free to join in on the class or leave as late or early as they need to.
 
Dance Club cardio-dance classes have included Hip-Hop, Tahitian, Cowboy Boogie, Krump, Cardio-Salsa, and Zumba.
